Status generally moves from submission through technical review to approval or a request for revision — a Final Design Approval typically completes within 5 working days for a compliant submission.
What to Do If Your DDA Application Is Delayed
The most common cause of a stalled DDA review is a drawing set that doesn't strictly follow Circular 400 formatting — A1 size, DWF format, monochrome except perspectives, arranged under the correct discipline tab. A submission failing this formatting check is often held rather than immediately rejected, which is why applicants sometimes see no status change for longer than expected.
